About Corporal Dale

I was born and raised in Northern Indiana, in an area referred to as Michiana. After I completed high school, I made an attempt to use the military as a way to get better school funding. Things did not work out that way, but I did complete my military training.

After some time spent in my hometown working in a factory, I decided I had to fullfill my desire to go to art school. I moved to Illinois and attended the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. I spent many happy years in Chicago attending school, and I lived there for 12 years.

During my time in Chicago, I volunteered and helped organize many art events, and I volunteered in the leather and LBGT communities. I spent many years prior to my transition working with the Lesbian Avengers, and I helped with the first four Dyke Marches.

In the BDSM/Leather communities, I spent most of my time hanging out with TNGC (The Next Generation Chicago.) I was on a panel for the group to discuss trans related issues within the BDSM community, and to educate people on trans issues in general.

When I was still living in Chicago, I helped found La Fraternite du Loup-Garou, a Levi/Leather club, with my friends Ethan and Jake. After a camping trip with Jake, I decided that I needed more trees and nature in my life. I moved to Toledo, Ohio, and continued developing the club with Jake from there. Ethan still lived in Syracuse, NY, and helped when he could. For the most part, Jake and I put together the first two CampOUTs, LaGarou's annual summer camping event.

After spending a year and a half doing long haul truck driving, I finally succumbed to my boyfriend Miles's pleas to leave the industry. It was good money, but the stress had really put me in the ground. I had to leave for mental and physical reasons. After nearly two months of recovery, and being taken care of by Miles financially, I decided what to do with the rest of my life. I had to make something creative and profitable; something that I was happy doing, and would satisfy my desire to invent and embellish. Leather became the mode of art I decided to persue. What you see here is a labor of love. All of the money I am currently making from my leather products goes right back into the business. Any money you spend here will support my efforts to bring amazing, handcrafted, well-made leather designs to as many people as I can.

When you buy from me you can be assured that you are buying from a self-supporting artist who keeps the money as local as possible. I buy my supplies from American companies so our economy can stay healthy.
